About

Texas Trees Foundation is a Dallas-based nonprofit, operating since 1982, that plants and distributes trees and conducts urban forestry research and planning across Texas. Its Cool Schools program converts paved schoolyards into tree-shaded outdoor learning areas in Dallas-Fort Worth and, through a partnership, in Yolo County, California. The foundation grows trees at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm and Education Center and publishes annual reports with planting and distribution counts.
