Los Angeles environmental nonprofit planting and caring for trees in neighborhoods and mountain wildlands

About

TreePeople is a Los Angeles nonprofit founded in 1973 that plants and cares for trees across Southern California through community forestry, habitat restoration, school greening, and fruit tree distributions to residents. It is headquartered in a 45-acre park on Mulholland Drive in Coldwater Canyon, where it also operates a native plant nursery, and its land trust stewards more than 3,000 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains. The organization publishes an annual impact report with trees planted, trees cared for, and volunteer counts.
